DJ ANAHATA - MATERIA RECORDS OWNER (SPAIN)

I am 30 years old, from Spain, living in Barcelona, but I grew up in Switzerland. I started listening to techno, progressive and trance, in 1994, and a year later progressed to Goa (psytrance). 5 years after that, in 2000, and after hearing the best international live acts and dj's, we started to form the crew "Shivaya Nomad Brain", organized some parties and was then born into DJ Anahata. In 2001, I came to live in Barcelona, the same hub that international musicians like Roy Painkiller, Nico Inner Action, Samy CPU, Max Mad Maxx, Nikka Mekkanikka, Davina Massive and Djane Moira come from. With two years of connections and friendship, I founded MATERIA RECORDS, the First International Spanish Label with the support of Roy Engel aka Painkiller and Djane Moira. I compiled the first 3 compilations myself: "v/a GOODFELLAS", "v/a ULTIMATE ENERGY", and "v/a ROBOSAPIENS" (with Dj Noz). Till today, I have also released under my label, an album of Puzzle called "THE MISSING PIECE", The sucessful "v/a BIG BANG" by Djane Moira, an album of Cortex called "TIME FOR SALVATION", another great release by Puzzle called "v/a SOMETHING TO FIT", after that one selected by Dj Varun called "v/a BOUNCE", the debut album of Kali "SURVIVAL", and a very recent compilation "v/a CLASH" by Djane Moira & Massive. Today, Materia Records is the pioneer of spanish Trance, with a lot of fans arround the globe, with a distinct, high quality, mediterranean Full On style, from morning to night. Currently I am working on Speedball "HUMAN DISORDER" debut album. This winter it's back to some serious work again for me as I am working on my personal compilations by Dj Anahata of course ! :) . First a very special compilation called "v/a PROFESSIONAL" and a collaboration with Painkiller "v/a GOODFELLAS II" Both soon to be released, so stay tuned... My style is TRANCE FULL ON and I like to start my dj sets with an unforgettable intro and my mix is refined. All the tracks are connected to each other, which is essential for me as it is like a story that I have planned for the audience and each and every track perfectly introduces the listeners to this story. I play mostly unreleased tracks, music that you've never heard before, with also a hint of special remixes of famous tracks keeping in mind not to go too much into the underground vibe ! I usually like to start my sets with more subtle tracks, slowly building it into a powerful and massive frenzy with always a very special finish, and play around Europe and Japan.
